CLINICAL SOCIETY MEETING

DEPARTMENT OF ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL RADIOLOGY

The clinical society meeting by the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology was
conducted on 30.03.2023 and 31.03.2023 at Founder’s Hall. The meeting commenced at 9.00
a.m. and ended at 11:00 a.m, followed by a Hands-On workshop.
The first speaker Dr. Sabitha Gokulraj, Associate Professor, did an introductory presentation on
“EVOLUTION FROM 2D TO 3D”. The next speaker Dr.Durgadevi P, Assistant Professor did a
presentation on the “MULTIPLANAR IMAGING AND ANATOMICAL LANDMARKS”. The
third speaker Dr. Vinita G, II year Postgraduate spoke on the APPLICATIONS OF CBCT IN
DENTISTRY. An interactive quiz was conducted by Dr. Kumar, MDS, Assistant Professor.
The program was awarded 04 CDE points/day with TNDC approval no:111/23.
Certificates were presented to the speakers by Dr. Arun Kumar, Professor, and HOD,
Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, who also awarded the certificate of appreciation
to the winner of MCQ Session, Dr. Narmada CRI.
A total of 149 participants comprising 33 staff, 57 Postgraduates, and 59 interns attended the
program. The certificate of attendance was given to all participants. Snacks were provided at the
end of the program to all the participants. Feedback forms have been sent and responses
recorded.
The next CSM will be conducted by the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial
Orthopedics in the month of April 2023.
