CLINICAL SOCIETY MEETING

DEPARTMENT OF ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY

The clinical society meeting by the Department Of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery was conducted
on 23.02.2023 at Founder’s Hall. The meeting commenced at 9.00 a.m. and ended at 10.30 a.m.
The first speaker Dr. Nainan P. I., Assistant Professor, did an introductory presentation on
“CARDIO-PULMONARY RESUSCITATION – AN OVERVIEW”. The next speaker
Dr.Bharath Kumar, II year Postgraduate did a presentation on the “BASIC LIFE SUPPORT –
DENTAL RELATED CASE SCENARIOS”. The third speaker Dr. Irfana Sithra Cholayil, II
year Postgraduate did a peek into the RECENT ADVANCEMENTS IN BLS. An interactive quiz
was conducted by Dr. Pavithran, MDS, Assistant Professor.
The program was awarded 01 CDE point with TNDC approval no: 53/23.
Certificates were presented to the speakers by Dr. Arun Kumar, Professor, and HOD,
Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, who also awarded the certificate of appreciation
to the winner of MCQ Session, Dr. Narmada CRI.
A total of 121 participants comprising 33 staff, 27 Postgraduates, and 61 interns attended the
program. The certificate of attendance was given to all participants. Snacks were provided at the
end of the program to all the participants. Feedback forms have been sent and responses
recorded.
The next CSM will be conducted by the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology in the
month of March 2023.
