NATIONAL LIBRARIAN’S DAY

Library advisory committee celebrated National Librarian’s Day on
August 12 th (Friday) for the First year UG students to create awareness of
reading books in library. The Program started at 10.45A.M in Lecture Hall I.
Essay writing, Quiz program and Treasure hunt competition was conducted.
Topic for Essay writing is “Traditional vs. Digitalized Library” and was
judged by Dr. Reena Rachel John for English essay writing and Dr.B.Sekar for
Tamil essay writing. The event was moderated by Annu Mariya CRRI LAC
U.G Student Member, Dr.M.Ambika Assistant professor delivered the
welcome address followed by Dean Address. The Prize Distribution was done
by Dr. J. Baby John, Dean and Dr. Reena Rachel John, Associate Dean
(Research & Scientific Affairs) for the Winners of the event and all the
students who participated. Associate Professor, Dr. K. Saravanan delivered
vote of thanks, followed by refreshments.
