Value added course – GST for Dental practice for Interns and Post
graduate students were conducted online on 2 days in Lecture Hall 3. Mr
Mammen Mathews and Ms Anthea Grace Mammen were the resource
persons for the course.
Dean Prof Dr J Baby John inaugurated the session on 18 th July at 9 30
am. Course co ordinator and moderator Dr Maya Ramesh introduced the
speakers to the participants.
Day 1 Morning : Understanding Financials and Business Plan for
Dental Practice by Mr. Mammen Mathews
Day 1 Afternoon : Accounting & Marketing for Practising Dentist
by Mr Mammen Mathews.
Day 2 Morning : Income Tax and Relevance by Ms. Anthea Mammen
and
Day 2 Afternoon : Goods and Service Tax by Ms Anthea Grace
Mammen
71 students attended the program. After the class, doubts were cleared
by question answer sessions on both days. Assessment was done online
through four Google forms after completion of class on each day

through multiple choice questions. Notes were given by the guest
speakers on the four topics to the students.
Feedback was collected from all participants after completion of the
course.
