Library Advisory committee of VMSDC in Association with National Digital Library
of India Club, organized a Webinar on “Dental Technology- The Future is Now” The
webinar was conducted on zoom platform on 7/62022 between 2.00p.m to 3.00p.m. The
event was coordinated and moderated by Dr.K.Saravanan, who delivered the welcome
address and introduced the Speaker of the day DrProf.Dr,Karthikeyan,MDS,PhD, Academic
Head,Dept of Perio Saveetha Detal College & Hospital, Chennai.
He Has Covered all fields of Dentistry. Our dental field will be incorporated digital
Revolution in all aspects like implant navigation,3D to 4D bio printing, Tissue
Engineering,Scaffolds,gene therapy,robotics,artificaial intelligence. He also added on
esthetics and software/Apps for the facial forms and Profiles. These were dealt and explained
superbly by the speaker. The Students had an overview of the digitalized dental field.
Dr K.Saravanan thanked the participants and felicited the resource person. The Webinar was
benefitted by 131 People ( Undergraduates, Postgraduates, and Faculty)
