DEPARTMENT OF ORAL PATHOLOGY AND ORAL MICROBIOLOGY

The Department of Oral Pathology & Oral Microbiology celebrated their 2nd National Oral Pathologist day on 25th Feb 2020. Competitions were conducted for two day 24th ,25th Feb 2021.

CONDUCTED EVENTS:

1)     Soap carving competition was conducted on 24th Feb 2021 by Dr.K. Indrapriyadharshini for the IInd&IIIrd year BDS students.24 students participated, This event was judged by Dr. Ramesh, HOD in charge, Dept of Prosthodontics and Dr.Rajkumar , Associate Professor ,Dept of Prosthodontics

2)     Haematoxylin &Eosin Drawing competition was conducted on 25th Feb 2021 by Dr.DianaPrem for the 1st year BDS students . 18 Students Participated, This event was judged by Dr.Arunkumar , HOD in charge, Dept of Oral Surgery.

3)     Quiz Competition was conducted on 25th Feb 2021 by Dr.Maya Ramesh , HOD in charge (Department Of Oral Pathology & Oral Microbiology , Dr.Vishali ,PG for IV BDS students & ,CRIs .14 students participated and three quiz rounds were conducted.

ORAL PATHOLOGIST DAY CELEBRATION 25th FEB 2021

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

The Department of Oral Pathology & Oral Microbiology celebrated National oral pathologist day on 25th Feb 2021 at 1:30 pm.

1.     Dr. Maya Ramesh HOD in charge (Department of Oral Pathology & Oral Microbiology) welcomed the gathering

2.     Dr.K. Indrapriyadharshini, Associate Professor, enlightened about the reason for choosing 25th February as National Oral pathologist day.

3.     Associate Dean Dr.Reena Rachel John (Research Affairs), Dr.N.Mohan (Academic Affairs), Dr.Jayashree Mohan (student Affairs) and Principal Dr.J. Baby John addressed the gathering shared their view on the importance of the Oral pathology department in VMSDC and about their research activities.

4.     Dr. Diana Prem narrated the events conducted on Oral pathologist day on 24th ,25th Feb 2021.

5.     The winners of the competition were announced by Dr.M. Ambika and awarded with a certificate by Principal Dr J. Baby John

6.     Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr B. Sekar, Professor, Dept of Oral Pathology & oral Microbiology.

7.     Dr.Rathipriya, PG, Dept of Oral Pathology & oral Microbiology Mastered the Ceremony.

8.     Dr.K. Indrapriyadharshini was the coordinator for the Events & Celebration.
