Department of Public Health Dentistry, Vinayaka Mission’s Sankarachariyar Dental College, Salem celebrated National Dentist Day on 08.03.2021 by giving oral health education, oral diagnosis and oral hygiene kits for Visually Impaired and Hearing Impaired Children from Tamilnadu Association for the Blind, Salem.

Activity pamphlets like Coloring Picture, Word Search, Puzzleetc. were distributed to the Hearing Impaired Children. Oral health education booklets (Braille) were distributed to the Visually Impaired Children by our beloved Dean Prof.Dr.J.Baby John

Prof.Dr.N.Saravanan delivered oral health education which was translated into sign language by their instructor.

Gifts and oral hygiene kits were given to all the participants by Dean Prof. Dr.J.Baby John, Prof.Dr.N.Saravanan, HoDand Ass.Prof.Dr.C.Bharath.

All the children were diagnosed in the Department of Public Health Dentistry

A total of 34 children were benefitted from the program.

Under the guidance of Prof. Dr.N.Saravanan, the program was organised and conducted by Ass.ProfDr.C.Bharath andAss.ProfDr.K.Priya Deepa Lakshmi.

A total of 12 interns participated in the program.
